I play in the surf and tide pools and take pictures of the sea beasties! The kids dig giant holes and make drift wood forts. At least that’s what happened this time. Sadly I was unable to comb the beach for glass floats but we were making all kinds of silly memories instead.
The last time I was at the coast was not technically a beach. The town has a very nice rocky shore. My mom and I were sending off my stepdad’s ashes to be scattered. After the boat returned we were walking along the sea wall and saw a Gray Whale playing about 50 feet from shore! We watched him for quite a while before going across the road for an excellent lunch. What an awesome day.
When I go to the “beach” it’s usually to eat and buy fresh seafood on the docks and oysters at the oyster farm further up the bay.
You’re making an assumption that I go to the beach. Not hardly. No interest
I’d love to go and metal detect!
@Tadlem43
Only on uncrowded beaches
Only on beaches where there are no killer waves, or other serious life hazards, and no bulging masses of humanity.
I will go to beaches that have killer waves or whatever if there’s a safe place from which to watch them.
If I have sunscreen and appropriate footwear and a hat and sunglasses and something to drink etc:
When I get there, I walk (If possible) along that beach.
In early morning I look for shells. Especially after a storm.

Sorry. I’ll try to keep a shirt on.

@sillyheathen Making new dinosaur tracks to confuse future archeologists? Looks like fun!
Lounge on the back of a big blow up friend!

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
Look at the new bikini fashions compared to other swimsuits designs.
Walk along the shore, since wearing a bathing suit is no longer an option
@heartny I can recommend a place or two where clothing IS optional.
(If I’m reading your post right.)
